On the other hand, apples may increase in price due to the depletion of last year's harvest in local farms. In the coming days, further price reductions for strawberries are expected due to increased market supply. Domestic greenhouse strawberries from Transcarpathia and southern regions are already entering the markets. The increased supply from unheated Ukrainian greenhouses, followed by the mass availability of open-field berries, will traditionally lead to a noticeable downward price trend. At the start of the season, fruit prices in Ukraine fell by 7-10% compared to last year, both in retail and wholesale markets. Overall, the market shows balance without panic buying, and further price declines are anticipated in late May to early June as the supply of Ukrainian berries increases.
